Controller and contact

The data controller is CalcolaFerie's maintainer, Spatariu Rares. For privacy requests, email privacy@calcolaferie.it. The GitHub profile is an additional contact channel: SpatariuRares.

Data collected

For visit statistics, we receive only aggregate data from Vercel Web Analytics. Bridge calculations, leave budgets, selected dates, and entered holidays remain in the browser; we remove URL parameters before sending data to Analytics.

When you use the planner, we save the settings you enter in browser localStorage under the key calcolaferie_config, so they are there on your next visit. It contains your leave budget, closure or mandatory-leave dates, patron saint day, and selected leave dates. If you choose a theme or a site style, we remember it in localStorage under the keys calcolaferie_theme and calcolaferie_style, which hold only that choice. A service worker also keeps a copy of the home page, the manifest, the icons and the pages you visit in the browser cache, so the site works offline: it holds no personal data and is cleared with the site's data. localStorage is technical storage requested by you, exempt from consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.

Purposes and legal bases

We use aggregate visit statistics to understand which pages work and improve the service. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring site use with minimized data, without third-party cookies or query strings.

Recipients and providers

We use Vercel for hosting, Web Analytics and Speed Insights. We do not sell personal data to third parties.

Transfers outside the EEA

Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where necessary, transfers must rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (or Standard Contractual Clauses as an alternative safeguard).

Visit statistics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, which pages are visited and improve the service. Vercel Analytics uses no third-party cookies: it identifies visits using a request hash and automatically discards sessions after 24 hours. We remove URL parameters before sending data, so shareable links containing budgets or dates are not included in statistics. We also use Vercel Speed Insights to measure, in aggregate, how fast pages load (Core Web Vitals): it sets no cookies.

Links to travel services

Next to each bridge, the “Services” menu offers links to external sites (Booking.com, Google Flights, Trainline, Rentalcars.com, GetYourGuide, Saily), set to the bridge's dates where the site allows it. They are plain links with no affiliation: we earn no commission. A link carries at most the bridge's dates, no other data from your scenario, and does not tell the site which page you came from. The external site receives it only if you open it: CalcolaFerie sends it nothing. From then on, each site processes data and sets cookies under its own privacy notice.

Retention

Vercel Web Analytics retains visit sessions for 24 hours and displays aggregate metrics. Local planner data remains in your browser until you clear it or change remembering the planner settings you enter.

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interest. We normally respond within one month. You may also complain to the Italian Data Protection Authority or the competent authority in your EU country.
